Daniel Roseberry's "SCHIAPARALIEN" collection pays homage to Elsa Schiaparelli's cosmic obsessions, uniting intrinsic couture techniques with modern takes on shape, pattern and references.
To bring Roseberry’s Schiaparaliens to life, the makeup centred around otherworldly skin and a beautiful, tonal look that is personalised for each model. “It’s all about structuring the face with light to create a truly out-of-this world effect,” says Pat. Cream and powder highlighters are layered on the cheekbones for a mesmerising, multidimensional glow. Eyes are topped with a celestial gold-and-pearl shimmer and brows are lightened and toned. Cream blush in a divine rose hue adds a luminous wash of colour to the cheeks, while lips are drenched in shine with clear lip balm. For a select few Schiaparaliens on the runway, one ear is painted and covered in hundreds of dazzling crystals, creating the ultimate cosmic couture accessory.

For spring-fall 2024, Creative Director Pieter Mulier presents an intimate collection centred around simplicity and purity.
Soft and luxurious makeup complements the collection’s less-is-more approach by enhancing the models’ identity and own unique natural beauty. “It’s really a celebration of who you are,” says Pat. The beauty of the look is in every exquisitely-perfected detail. Skin is elegant and effortlessly radiant. Eyes are subtly structured with shades of taupe, the roots of the lashes coated in mascara, and the lips left beautifully nude and nourished with a swipe of clear balm.

MAISON MARGIELA ARTISANAL COLLECTION 2024
Creative Director John Galliano’s mesmerising collection examines the ritual of dressing as a physical expression of emotion.
Experimenting with silhouette, texture, and innovative couture techniques, the collection takes us on a moody, moonlit walk along the Seine in Paris, where we meet a cast of exquisite muses presented in a beautiful tableau. “The makeup for the show plays with a modern take on porcelain glass skin,” says Pat. Brows are bleached, replaced by pencil-thin arches drawn on using neutral-toned shadows. Variations of a painterly eye appear in a stunning array of jewel tones, pastels or moody charcoals. Cream blush is applied to the centre of the cheeks for a doll-like flush. On the lips, subversive shades of blooded red and black are topped in clear gloss for a surreal pout. Finally, skin is coated in a hyper-shiny glaze, mimicking the smooth, reflective quality of glass and completing the models’ unbelievable metamorphosis.
